Terms of Service

Event Hub Professional · Last updated August 4, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Event Hub Professional platform (“the Service”), operated by Event Hub Professional (“Event Hub”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, registering for an event, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

Event Hub provides tools for event organizers (“hosts”) to run fundraising campaigns — such as asks/pledges, auctions, and raffles — and for guests to register, participate, and donate. Hosts, not Event Hub, are responsible for their events, their fundraising conduct, and the use of funds raised.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or put the Service or its users at risk.

3. Guest participation & verification

Guests register with a name, email address, and mobile number, and verify them with one-time codes. By providing your mobile number, you consent to receive text messages from Event Hub, including one-time verification codes and event-related updates for events you register for, as described in the Privacy Policy. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, reply STOP to any text to opt out.

4. Donations & payments

  • Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor (MX™ Merchant). Card numbers are transmitted directly to the processor and are not stored on Event Hub servers.
  • Donations are made to, and received by, the event host or its designated organization — not Event Hub. Questions about a donation, its tax treatment, or a refund should be directed to the event host; refunds are issued at the host’s discretion and subject to processor rules.
  • If you choose to save a payment method, it is stored as a processor token so the host can charge donations you authorize during the event.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to access other accounts or data, interfering with its operation, sending unlawful or deceptive content through it, or using it in violation of applicable law (including telemarketing and anti-spam laws).

6. Content & intellectual property

Hosts and guests keep ownership of the content they submit (event descriptions, messages, images) and grant Event Hub a license to display it as needed to operate the Service. The Service itself, including its software and design, belongs to Event Hub and its licensors.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we are not responsible for the conduct of hosts, guests, or third-party services (payment processing, SMS, and email delivery).

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Event Hub will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or revenues. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Without limiting the above, Event Hub is not liable for any damages arising from the SMS/text messaging program, including delayed, undelivered, or misdirected messages; errors in verification codes; or carrier or wireless-network failures. Message and data rates may apply, and mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You are responsible for any charges from your wireless carrier.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

9. Indemnification

Hosts agree to indemnify Event Hub against claims arising from their events, including claims about fundraising conduct, prizes, taxes, or the use of funds raised.

10. Changes & termination

We may update these terms; the “Last updated” date reflects the current version, and continued use after changes means you accept them. You may stop using the Service at any time; we may suspend or end access for violations of these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Suffolk County, New York.
